Cloud computing is a general term for anything that involves delivering hosted services over the internet. These services are divided into three main categories or types of cloud

What does Cloud Computing offer?

-

Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is a type of cloud computing service that offers essential compute, storage, and networking resources on-demand. IaaS lets you bypass the cost and complexity of buying and managing physical servers and datacentre infrastructure. Each resource is offered as a separate service component and generally, you only pay for a particular resource for as long as you need it.

-
Platform As A Service (PAAS)

Platform as a service (PaaS) is a complete development and deployment environment in the cloud, with resources that enable you to deliver everything from simple cloud-based apps to sophisticated, cloud-enabled enterprise applications.

-
Software As A Service (SAAS)

SaaS is a distribution model that delivers software applications over the internet; these applications are often called web services. Users can access SaaS applications and services from any location using a computer or mobile device that has internet access.
